A Summer Travel Capsule Wardrobe : Modest Edition

Summer season is winding down and the children are back in school. This means it is time to start my travel adventures for the year! I want to share more modesty content on this blog. After all, I am the ‘Nurse In A Skirt’. I have booked a quick four day trip and wanted to share what I am packing clothing wise.

Over the years, I have been blessed to experience a LOT of solo travel. My solo escapades are always on a budget which usually means a basic economy plane ticket. For many airlines this means you are allowed a personal item only. This has provided a lot of practice with packing light. Here we go!

12 Pieces…

Packing List:

Basic tees – Can be layered or worn alone.

Button down linen teeCan be used as a layer or worn alone.

Simple cardigan – To be used during flight (direct flight no layover).

Linen maxi – Comfortable and breathable.

Light denim skirt – The one I own is very lightweight from Old Navy (sold out). Can coordinate with every top and shoe.

Blue and white floral dress (not pictured) – Sunday outfit…light and airy

Mary Jane flatsComfortable. Can dress up fits a bit.

SneakersComfortable for days of exploring. No laces makes it better

Chest bag – Keep necessities close.

Silver watch – To accessorize if I’m in the mood. Ended up switching to a black watch…

Sunglasses – To accessorize and protect the eyes.

Outfit Ideas:

Everything goes together aside from the blue and white dress I am packing for church. I am a neutral color person. This makes packing for anything and dressing last minute so easy!
