Hello all! Well, finals season is upon us students again, but this time I decided to share my tips since this is my last semester of prerequisites. Feel free to share your tips in the comments!
- Plan, plan, plan!
I can never say this enough on my blog; have a plan! It is so important to make a plan for studying when you are studying for multiple courses. This allows you to be more efficient and helps relieve a little stress. Creating a study plan/daily checklist is my number one recommendation for those who have cumulative finals. You can see how I plan for finals here.
- Food.
This may seem like a silly tip, but make sure you are keeping on top of your meals. If you need to take a quick brain break for a snack or a meal, do it! It is not easy to study when your mind is set on your empty stomach. If you are a library study-goer or you just study in other locations, bring a light healthy snack with you to fuel!
- Manage your stress!
Everyone handles their stress differently. Some go to the gym, go for a walk, cook a meal, draw, do a yoga flow, whatever! Find something that distresses you and try to do it for at least 30 minutes a day during finals week. It really helps to just clear your mind for a little bit and recharge. Quick naps are not excluded!
- Sleep
Keep up with your sleep during finals week. It is difficult to take a cumulative exam when you are walking in from an all-night cram session (which you should not be doing). I know this can be challenging to do, but it really is one of the most important to keep our minds functioning!
Those are my quick tips! I am sorry if this post is a little lackluster, but this last semester of pre-reqs is killing me. I will be posting more updates, plans and tips as soon as I am settled in for the summer.
Great post! I used to plan exactly which chapters or group of chapters I would review for different classes on different dates to make sure I finished reviewing in time for finals. Oh college!

Thank you! That’s great! It really relieves some anxiety when you have everything mapped out. Thanks for reading!
